The group for the brochure project is Reece Markidis, Evan Atkins, Sean Henry, and Maurice Johnson. The group has decided to make a set of brochures that correlate with the city of Buffalo’s professional sports teams. The teams being used are the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres, the Buffalo Bisons, and the Buffalo Bandits. Each brochure will highlight the team's stadiums, key players, fun facts, and current or upcoming schedule.
Visually the brochures will be done in a single fold fashion. Each group member will be responsible for a single team. Reece Markidis will do the Buffalo Bandits, Evan Atkins will do the Buffalo Bisons, Sean Henry will do the Buffalo Bills, and Maurice Johnson will do the Buffalo Sabres. The colors used for each brochure will be whatever the team being used colors are. So, the Bills will be red, white, and blue, the Sabres will be blue, gold, white, and silver, the Bandits will be black, orange, and purple, and the Bisons will be red, blue, white, and brown. The front cover of the brochure will have the teams name listed down the side in a box with the background being the team's alt-color. Next to the team’s name will be a photo of inside the team’s stadium. On the back page of the brochure will be fun facts for the team. For example, for the Buffalo bills it could list how they’re the only team to go to 4 straight Super Bowls, but lose every single one. Inside the brochure on the left side will be the current star players and their stats. Photos of the players will also be there, possibly silhouetted. On the inside right page there will be listed the team’s current or upcoming schedule. It will mark their wins or loses too. If a team’s schedule is too long to list, it will highlight key games. These are the main ideas for content of the brochures but one section could be swapped out for stadium info. When bullet points are used in a section the team’s logo will be used instead. A possible idea is to use the team’s colors in a Zubaz design on the interior as a background border.
Each group member will work hard with each other to create a set of brochures that look to be one cohesive design. Each brochure will have the same layout but use a color scheme that aligns with a specific Buffalo team.
